Objectives can include reaching the end of a dungeon or undertaking a mission, such as finding a certain Pokemon, item, or escorting a Pokemon. Pokemon Mystery Dungeon is a roguelike-genre game – you go through mazes, fight enemy Pokemon, and the mazes are randomly generated. The three versions of the games are essentially the same, although some of the Pokemon and dungeons are different. All three games were released in Japan on August 4th, 2009 for 1,200 Wii points apiece.
This time around, they make an appearance as Wiiware games.
Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Onward! Flame Explorers, Go! Storm Explorers, and Dream! Light Explorers are collectively the third entry in the Pokemon Dungeon series, which started on the Gameboy Advance and DS in 2005.
